"My Angel...My Happiness" Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2

Next day in the morning.

Aaffaan's sleep was disturbed by the naughty sun rays coming through the window.
His nanny was moving the curtains away and was asking him to get up.
He groaned and tried to open his eyes.
Suddenly, he remembered he had to go to the park to see her.
His eyes popped open, and he got up excited.
He gave a quick glance to the wall clock.
It was 11 am.
He rushed to the washroom to get ready.
In the next 20 minutes, he was sitting at the dining table after a quick shower and now was having breakfast speedily.
He finished breakfast and in the next moment, he was out of the main door.

In the park

Aaffaan has been sitting on the wooden bench for the past half an hour.
He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt with half white jeans and his favorite sneakers.
He was restlessly moving his feet as he waited for her to appear.
Time kept passing second after second but there was no sign of her.
He started getting irritable.

"I saw her outside this park last time. She should have been here"
He muttered to himself.

"But she doesn't know I am here waiting for her."
He realized glumly.

After waiting for another couple of minutes, he lost his hope.
He got up, put his hands in his pockets casually, and started walking back home in a royal manner he was known for.

The next few days were no different.
He used to come to the park daily, kept waiting for her for some time, and used to go back home disappointed.
It had been a week now.
As usual, he was sitting on his favorite bench and looking around in the park in the hope to see her somewhere.
Suddenly, his eyes captured a long ponytail and something yellow.
He narrowed his gaze and tried to look at it carefully.
It was a little girl with very long hair having her back towards him standing near a tree.
His heart skipped a beat.
Was it her?
He abruptly got up and started walking briskly to her.
But on reaching there, what he saw made his blood boil in anger.
Few mean girls were teasing her and in the next moment, one of them pushed her and she fell on the ground with a thud.

"Hey you! how dare you to hurt her".
He roared.

Seeing him, the other girls became horrified and ran away.
He came back to his senses hearing her cry.
He kneeled and tried to look carefully.
She had tears in her big eyes, and her front bags were left open on her forehead giving her a baby look.

"Hey, shhhhhh! Show me where you are hurt angel."
He asked lovingly.

She batted her lashes innocently and showed him her left elbow.
It was bruised.
He felt bad seeing that.

"Hey, little angel don't cry. You are a brave girl right? "
He wiped her tears away with his palms and continued;
"And brave girls don't cry. Did your mommy tell you this?"

"No".
She stared at him innocently.

The sight melted his heart.

"Okay, now you know. Now stop crying please."
He patted her cheeks.

"Get up, dust off your cute dress, and come with me."
She did as he told her and started walking with him.

"Are we going home?"
She asked.

"No."
He said nonchalantly.

"Why?"
She exclaimed.

"Don't you want me to say Sorry to you?"

He raised his eyebrow.
Her face brightened up with a lovely smile.

"And also, we are going to get you an ice cream also, Kiddo."

"Really, oh you are so good. Wait! what, I am not a Kid."
She sulked.

"Yes, you are."

"No, I am not."
She definitely was a stubborn child.

"Okay, what is your name?"

"Bubbly."
He laughed out loudly.

"look you have a kiddo name. I'll call you kiddo"

He felt amused by seeing her annoyed expressions.

He was feeling happy.
He laughed after ages.
She definitely was special.
They went to the nearby ice cream shop, and he bought her an ice cream.
They talked for a while and later, he dropped her to her house that was near his own home.

******************************************************

It was 9'o clock at night, and he was staring at the ceiling while lying on his bed.
The events of the day running repeatedly in his mind.
He had a cute smile on his face.
When he was with her, all his hurt seemed to wash away.
His heart felt light and free.
She was truly an angel.
It was indeed the best day and the best summer vacation of his life.
