"My Angel...My Happiness" Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1

It was a fine day in summers.
The sun was shining brightly.
A 4-year-old little girl was running on the road.
She was wearing a red frock with white slippers.
Her long silky hair was tied in a high ponytail while her front bangs were having barbie pins.
Tiny diamond studs were adorning her ears.
Her face was beaming with happiness.
She was holding an ice cream cone in her right hand.
Suddenly, she crashed into someone.
She fell on the ground with a thud and so did her ice cream.
She first looked at her fallen ice cream with hurt in her eyes and then looked upwards towards the cause of her fall.
It was a young boy, about 12 years old.
He was standing arrogantly with his head high up and was eying her scornfully.
He was wearing a blue T-shirt and beige pants, putting his hands casually in his pockets.
She got up and dusted off her frock.
She was constantly looking at her fallen ice cream that was already half melt, sadly.
He turned his gaze away from her and started moving forward, royally ignoring her.

"Hey, where are you going?"

He stopped in his tracks, hearing a cute voice behind him.

"At least say sorry to me. It was because of you that my ice cream fell."

Surprised, he turned back.

"What?"

"Yes. It was because of you that I fell and my ice cream got wasted too. You should say sorry."

She was now standing confidently, batting her long lashes over her big eyes.

"And why should I do so?"

He asked playfully. He didn't know why he was amused by her actions.
She stared at him for a while and said.

"Because mommy says that when somebody gets hurt because of you, you should say sorry"

He chuckled.

"And what If I don't say sorry to you?"

she first remained silent and then replied.

"Then I will think you are a bad boy who doesn't obey mommy and won't like you."

She pouted her lips.
His expressions changed from amused to hurt and grumpy.
Nobody liked him anyway. She won't like him too.

"Then go away little creature, I won't say sorry..."

He almost shouted and walked away leaving her standing baffled.

*************************************************

The girl was Muskaan Sarfaraz.
She was the only daughter of Major Sarfaraz Asghar and Dr. Zaayra Sarfaraz.
Due to a road accident, Zaayra got internal injuries due to which she lost her ability to be a mother again. She went into depression and their little fairy who was only 2 years old was left ignored. During that hard time, Sarfaraz stood by her like a pillar and brought her back to life for their little angel.
Now she was their life.
They called her "bubbly" as a nickname.
She was taken care of like a princess.
She was very childish but an intelligent kid.
Life was going on smoothly.
This summers, Sarfaraz had to go out of the country for some official work so Zaayra brought bubbly with her to stay at her parents' house.

**************************************************

A boy was lying on his bed, in a bedroom of a huge Mansion.
The boy was Aaffaan Baig.
He was the son of a great Business Tycon Ammaar Ahmad Baig and Uzma Baig.
Ammaar Baig used to stay out of the country most of the year for business meetings. He was always busy with business affairs most of the time. Before Uzma, he married an English lady Lily Williams who died giving birth to a baby boy who was named Muneeb Baig. When He married Uzma, Muneeb was 2 years old. She refused to accept him as her son so Ammaar was left with no other choice to leave him with a Muslim widow maid in his house abroad.
Uzma Baig was a fashion designer and owned a boutique. She was not one of those women who sacrifice their careers and sit at home for their children. She was always busy doing fashion shows and parties. They were rarely home together and in that case, they used to fight most of the time.
Aaffaan was left at home alone with his nanny.
All of this affected the poor soul and he became an introvert.
He had no friends.
His age fellows used to stay away from him due to his silent and rude nature.
He never smiled.
He stayed at home all the time.
He used to go to a park next to his house whenever he felt suffocated at his home.
It gave him some mental peace.
There in that park, he met that cute little girl on his way back home.

That day, he was really happy in the morning when his nanny told him that his parents came back home last night and would be coming for breakfast in a while.
He was so excited that he couldn't wait and went to their room to see them.
He could hear faint voices coming from his parents' room.
He would be seeing them after almost a month.
But as he went closer and closer to their room, their voices became clearer.
They were having an argument over something.
His heart sank.
He turned over his heels and walked away.
The only place that could give him solace was that park.
He spent some time there and was returning home when he met her.
He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't see and crashed with her.
He smiled remembering her.
Of course, the fault was entirely his.
His smile vanished when he remembered her last comment.
"I should say sorry to her. She is the cutest kid I have ever come across. I will do this tomorrow"
He decided mentally and went to sleep.
